01. Prepare site

Clean injection site (ideally a fatty layer such a flank or abdomen) with the alchohol wipes or warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Clean the top of the vial with an alcohol wipe.

03. Administer injection

Remove the air bubbles from the syringe by gently pushing the plunger, once they are visibly removed, pinch a fold of skin and hold the syringe at a 45-degree angle. Push the needle into the pinched fold of skin and push the plunger to inject solution.

02. Draw up solution

Pull the syringe down to the desired units and push the needle into the top of the vial. Then flip the vial upside down while the needle is still inside pull the plunger down to the desired units and fill the syringe with solution.

04. Remove syringe

Release the plunger and gently remove it from the injection site. Release the fold of skin and safely dispose of the syringe needle in an FDA-cleared sharps container.
